Hands-on Training Lab Policies

The SurpHaces Learning Institute Learning Lab Policies

We want to make sure your experience at The SurpHaces Learning Institute Learning Lab is both safe and educational. Please review the following policies. Feel free to contact us if you have questions or concerns. Additional policies and safety procedures will be discussed at the beginning of training and during the training process.

Come prepared to work

Plan to arrive at the training facility each day by 9:00 AM or at the time otherwise specified when you register, wearing comfortable work clothes and appropriate shoes. For examples, wear jeans or shorts, a T-shirt, and tennis shoes. Please do not wear sandals, flip-flops, or any other attire that might interfere with training. Students should come prepared to work. Our training program includes hands-on practical application using equipment and supplies. We do require students to use safety devices for certain processes and tasks. The necessary safety items are supplied by the school.

Breaks

We will provide water, coffee, sodas and snacks throughout the day. Each day we provide lunch but you are free to take your one-hour lunch break time to relax, have some lunch at any one of our local restaurants, clear your head, and prepare for the afternoon session of training.

Smoking Policy

There is no smoking inside our facility, but smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas.

Cancellation Policy

Our hands-on courses are kept small to provide optimum interaction between participants and instructors. Last-minute participant substitutions are difficult to arrange. We understand emergency situations may arise that will affect your attendance to our programs. We have established the following policy in case of course cancellation:

  • If cancellation is made over 30 days before the program date, 50% of the tuition is eligible for refund, or 100% of the tuition is transferable to another program/date.
  • If cancellation is made within 10 to 30 days of the program date, 25% of the tuition is eligible for refund, or 100% of the tuition is transferable to another program/date.
  • If cancellation is less than 10 days before the program date, the entire tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. Severe extenuating circumstances will be considered individually.

Although we do not anticipate any changes, we do reserve the right to cancel an event at our discretion for emergencies and extraordinary circumstances. In the event of course cancellation, 100% of the tuition will be eligible for refund or transferable to another course. For more information Please contact us at (407) 567-7680.
